Deborah Lindquist is an LA based environmentally conscious designer that specializes in one-of-a-kind creations made from vintage fabrications, cashmere, hemp and organic linen. Catering to a young, hip urban audience, Lindquist ‘s couture inspired creations are produced from a mix of recycled and new sustainable and organic fabrications. Her unique jackets, vests, and bustiers are made from romantic vintage florals, tropical barkcloth, jacquard, and Indian blankets. Producing ‘Made in America’ is central to Lindquist’s mission, while a portion of her profits is also donated to environmental organizations.
Originally trained at Parsons, the New School in New York, Lindquist started her career designing unique mesh belts and jewelry made from vintage materials, semiprecious stones and Milanese mesh. She also designed sexy costumes for the burlesque troupe the Pussycat Dolls, before moving to LA and staring her own bespoke design label. Lindquist offers a bespoke Eco Conscious Wedding Dress service, and a home décor line.
Beauty and the Beach is Lindquist’s swimwear and retro inspired cardigan line, made from reincarnated cashmere sweaters mixed with vintage pin up style looks. Sweaters are carefully embellished with delicate applique in cropped 1950’s style and paired with retro, high-waisted Hollywood glam bottoms. Sequins, vintage kimono’s and cashmere all live happily with bows, polka dots and applique. The Green Queen Basics is a range of eco luxury simple separates and dresses realized in sustainable and organic fabrications such as micro modal, silk, hemp and organic cotton. The relaxed, comfortable styling is balanced with exquisite cutting that is both body flattering and stylish, not your average yoga wear basics, but a minimal, understated range of wearable wardrobe basics. Pieces include a heavily draped tank top, full-length jersey cardigan, spaghetti strapped dresses and leggings.
Lindquist sells her designs throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Asia, and has garnered a celebrity following, with Sharon Stone, Pink, Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera, and Rihanna counted amongst her fans. Needless to say she can boast major press coverage form the likes of Elle, Lucky, In Style, WWD, as media coverage from Good Morning America, amongst others.
