Mink
Founded in 2004, Mink is a vegan shoe collection produced from eco-friendly, animal-free materials. Renowned as “the” vegan footwear line, Rebecca Mink’s ultra-luxe collection of Italian made vegan shoes is adored by shoe enthusiasts, celebrities and animal lovers alike. Unabashedly sexy, Mink shoes reflect Rebecca’s own sense of effervescent glamour, with towering heels, cool summer sandals, flats, ballet pumps and wedges.
Three years of development was invested into building the collection, and assembling sustainable materials, such as wood, rubber, cork and organic textiles. Regected by sixteen factories in Italy, Mink finally met Marco Gambassi, a traditional Italian shoemaker whos family have been crafting shoes for generations. Intrigued by the challenge of producing a premium shoe collection without leather, the craftsman and the designer embarked on the beginning of a beautiful partnership. Shoes tested for durability, and packaged in a colorful, recycled and reusable bag.
A native of southern California, Rebecca Mink has devoted her life to preserving the planet and the humane treatment of animals. Torn between the high-end fashion she loved, and the animals and planet she adored, led her to build Mink shoes from the ground up. Mink is among the new breed of young designers leading the fashion industry into an era of environmental responsibility without sacrificing style.
