Terra Urbana

Terra Urbana is a Slovenian sustainable high-end fashion label designed by Mateja Benedetti in partnership with graphic designer Sasa Kladnik. Dramatic gothic silhouettes dominate the collection, with full skirts, assymetric hems and slim deconstructed bodices.

Cutting and slashing details, reminiscent of Elizabethen costume, are partnered with a romanticized punk aesthetic, and combined with full Victorian skirts and romantic ruffled necklines and skirts.

The collection has a strong graphic component with authentic prints and patterns tending to the darker side, with crow sculls, birds in full flight and human bones. Subdued and graphic color stories dominate, in off white, black, stone and lavender, with the occasional dramatic insertion of the softest, prettiest shell pink.

Graphics are printed with water based colors on natural fibers including Tencel, Bamboo and organic cotton. Materials are GOTS certified, dyed and printed with botanical extracts, as well as Fairtrade certified.

The brand strives to achieve an optimal balance of utility, beauty and quality, produced in its entirely in Slovania.
