Renli Su

Renlisu9

Renli Su is an independent Peckham based fashion designer working with organic fabrications and hand made techniques. Described by Vogue as a young designer to watch, the Renli Su collection has an ethereal, romantic quality that doesn’t involve frills and ruffles. The vintage look collection focuses on shift dresses, oversized skirts and tight little, proper jackets. Fabric texture plays an important role, with stark interplays of sheer and stiff, soft and thick, course and fine.

Hand woven ramie from a long closed Chinese mill, ‘Summer Fabric’, a traditional form of Chinese linen, organic cotton and Irish linen form the basis of the collection, which is highlighted by bold stripes and block printing. All fabrics in the collection are hand woven, hand dyed or hand block printed by skillful craftsmen, all organic. Prints and stripes are bold and saturated with chequered patterns, reminiscent of bold furnishing fabrics.
