Hetty Rose

Hetty Rose, designed by Henrietta Rose Samuels, custom makes bespoke women’s shoes from recycled and reworked vintage materials.  Primarily working with vintage Japanese kimono fabrics, “relics of a disappearing world, saturated in significance and hidden meaning” The collection is based on a theory of re-using and re-working vintage materials in a creative and sustainable way, hand making gorgeous, feminine shoes to fit.

The designer hand selects exquisite antique fabrics to use for her shoe uppers to create unique handmade footwear. The designs are simple, but provocative, designed to make the foot appear more attractive. The collaboration of colours, materials, service and directional design result in unique, wearable footwear.

Graduating fro the London Collect of Fashion’s prestigious Cordwainers degree, Samuels worked for a range of bespoke she companies in the UK and Italy, including Georgian Goodman, prior to setting up her own label in 2007.
