Myco Anna

Myco Anna is an eco-chic women’s clothing and accessories collection, produced entirely in Canada. The label, founded in Quebec 1995, is renowned for mixing and remixing colors and materials, making interesting and original juxtapositions of new and recycled fabrics into new and unique designs.  The label’s distinctive signature, has a one of a kind sense of style and quirky confidence, combining swatches and scraps of patterned and plain knitwear together, and combining them with simpler, sophisticated items.  Myco Anna is not afraid to experiment with bold and surprising combinations, each item a true work of art, and entirely unique, combining new and recycled fabrics and fibers in a kaleidoscope of textures, colors and prints.

Myco Anna grew from humble beginnings in a basement workshop in Québec City in 1995, now grown into an internationally renowned label, with over 1,000 unique items produced in the last fifteen years.  A pioneer in environmental and ethical fashion, Myco Anna is making inroads into the responsible fashion market, one woman at a time.  Meticulous control is exerted over every step of the process from design and marketing to the factory floor, the final inspection and even their boutiques.  The Myco Anna team analyzes, researches, tests and sketches each item that goes into production.  The patterns and fabric selection are the most important stage in Myco Anna designs, processing and matching recycled fibers with new materials.  Sourcing from recycling centers and factory surplus, each pieces is sorted, inspected and washed before being cut and matched.  All samples are all produced in house, while the production is contracted out to produce greater numbers, with all contractors following the highest standards for working conditions in the industry, cultivating a loyal and committed network of suppliers. Finally, each item is inspected by hand to ensure quality before shipping.

Owner, President and head of design, Christine Garant, started with the company as a sales representative in charge of development, and along with the company has grown from strength to strength, being voted Quebec City’s Young Business Personality in 2009 by the Quebec City Chamber of Commerce.  Myco Anna now has more than 90 points of sale in Canada and across Europe as well as having its own freestanding boutiques and e-commerce site at boutiquemycoanna.com.
