Feng Ho

Feng Ho is an award winning ethical designer working with a range of sustainable textiles, including bamboo, soy, organic cotton, hemp and peace silk, to produce a bespoke range of womenswear.  Hand crafted in her Oxford, UK studio, Ho’s also utilizes end of line British textiles for her creations, through which she hopes to create a harmony between architecture and nature.  With her clean lines and draped silhouettes, Ho produces an effortless, easy wear collection of jersey dresses from surprising print and plain combinations, and complex cut and pieced color blocking.  Assymetry and waterfall hemlines combine effortlessly with easy comfortable styling to make for a sports wear inspired collection.

Winner of the Ethical Fashion Forum Innovation Award in 2010, Ho also works skillfully with slik screen printing to add a further dimension to her designs.  Passionate about promoting sustainability, she also works with fair trade and supports local business through sourcing as well as production.  Her fabrics are naturally dyed with water based printing inks, she recycled 99% of all studio waste, has a minimal water and energy footprint and utilizes energy efficient appliances where possible.

Born of Malaysian and Singaporean parentage, Feng Ho grew up in Oxford, the experience of which has allowed her to bring elements of both East and West to her designs.  Graduating from the renowned Royal College of Art, she worked and has worked with cutting edge London-based designer companies, Preen, Robert-Cary Williams and Jens Laugesen.  With the support of the Princes Trust, she launched her label in 2006, with both a ready-to-wear line and a bespoke fashion service.
