Zurita
Zurita is a slow, considered fashion project by Gabriela Farias Zurita that explores, honors and recontextualizes the tradition of Andean hand weaving
Santiago Chile based Zurita creates an ethical womenswear collection with the craft knowledge and heritage of Latin American.
The brand eschew seasonal trends and instead create a permanent collection, augmented by annual additions that grow and enrich the existing portfolio of designs.
Working with camelid fibers such as alpaca, organic pima cotton and silk, silhouettes are loose with geometric cuts and produced in a range of natural colors from gray through brown and black to white, with blue and yellow.
Coats, jackets and pants are produced through a collaboration with Quechua expert weavers in Potosi, Bolivia and the Aymara of Tarapaca in Chile.
