The Artisan Project is an Ankura initiative to create jobs that fairly recognize hard work, and increase the appreciation of Peruvian craftsmanship. Ankura work with a small community formed over a decade ago by the Shipibo family from the Amazonian forest, and called Cantagallo. Located in Lima, the community maintains their ancient culture and tradition, supporting themselves by selling handmade products and art. The collaboration gave birth to a collection of bracelets made entirely by Shipibo artisans that combining traditional Peruvian materials such as Achira, baby silk fiber and silver. The collection benefits the health and well-being of the Shipibo children of Cantagallo.
