Consumers Against Toxic Apparel (CATA), was created out of the need to further customer service at Silver Needle & Thread Custom Sewn Clothing. Finding that the custom organic clothing they produced one piece at a time, had a knock on effect, with clients requesting items for the rest of the family. Spending more and more time researching organic clothing brands for their customers and their families, they realized the need for a efficient service to connect customers with brands that produced every kind of organic clothing, from baby clothes to men’s socks, and so CATA was born.
Now representing a number of brands ranging from menswear to bridal, each brand offers a discount from regular price, to offset the membership. Each brand honors the pledge to create transparency, practice sustainable business, and consider the consequences of every business decision, each working hard to create innovative products with pure, clean and safe alternatives to the high street toxic alternatives.
