CeeBee

Carmen Björnald creates a line of accessories using recycled materials from natural and organic origins under the label name CeeBee.  With a respect for the environment, products have a low environmental impact, and support low-income families through labor creation, while recycling waste.

German born from a Liberian father and a German mother, Björnald grew up in Sweden, graduating with a degree in Fabric Research and Design.  Now living in Italy, with a background as a musician as well as a high fashion model for some of the most prestigious European houses, Björnald’s first jewelry collection was created with a loom, a knitting needle and a crochet-hook. Travel, led to Björnald’s awareness of the global problem of waste, leading to the development of her line of accessories produced solely from waste materials.  Her “Paper Collection” of handbags, backpacks, shoppers, pouches and belts, are all made with pages from fashion magazines, maps, newspapers, comics, and even old yellowed note books found in a friends loft. The paper comes from different parts of the world, and is laminated before being woven and carefully finished. The “Plastic 4ever” accessories collection is made out of plastic shopping bags, reprinted and patch-worked into accessories. The handmade nature of all CeeBee’s accessories makes every piece a ‘one of a kind’.
