Amy Sunshine

Amy Sunshine Harris, a recent graduate from the London College of Fashion, focuses on sustainable women’s wear using up-cycled fabrics and remade garments, forcing her to originate unique processes while working experimentally.  Determined to show through her work that ethical fashion can be both fashion forward and high quality, as well as compete successfully with mainstream high street fashions.

Her graduate collection was inspired by the sophisticated elegance of the 1950s combined with the naive playfulness of school uniforms from the 19th century. Highland dress, with its asymmetric shoulder fabric detailing and use of metal clasps and fastenings informed the use of tartan and chains.
