Indigo and Snow

Indigo and Snow produce a line of hand-dyed apparel and accessories from non-toxic water based reactive dyes. Working with a contemporary form of shibori using salvaged Cedar, the brand create evocative, organic designs in natural indigo. The functional, beautiful items are created by hand using stones, wood and other elements from the landscape, connecting founder Annabella Sardelis’s interests and work as an artist and a designer. Producing handwork that reflects her interest in environmental sustainability has been a major part of the business from the beginning.

Married to a herbalist, Sardelis has been foraging for native Minnesotan plants with her husband, for over a decade. As an organic gardener for over twenty years, Sardelis majored in Environmental Studies at the College of Wooster, where she fell in love with printing, and the process of making repeat patterns. Now ten years later, Sardelis experiments with creating hand printed textiles, printmaking, woodcuts, mono prints, screen prints, and creating natural dyes.
