R.E.D.

R.E.D. stands for Re-Engineered Design. An approach to the designing, sourcing and manufacturing of a clothing line, which is both socially and environmentally conscious as well as sustainable.  R.E.D. believes that environmental awareness can co-exist with Fashion. Their processes of design through manufacturing has minimal carbon emissions and causes minimal harm to the environment.  The R.E.D. collection is made from recycled fabrics, remade into wearable pieces from Sri Lanka’s apparel waste, and “abandoned” garments, fabrics and trims.  R.E.D. believes in engaging social projects involving developing communities & women’s cooperatives, as well as engaging schools and young designers in the creative aspects of creativity.  With a constant stream of new ideas, R.E.D. seek to create a positive awareness via fashion to the next generation.
