Tamara Fogle

Established in 2007, Fogle bags are produced in family run workshops in Notting Hill studio, London.  Tamara Fogle’s background in antiques and interior styling has strongly influenced the design ethos of the brand.  Collections combine antique textiles and leathers for a unique, modern, timeless appeal.  Bags are made with antique fabrications which include German flour sacks, Hungarian grain sacks, French mattress ticking, canvas military tents and Pakistan hand stitched quilts, combined with water-based aniline finished leather hides.  Each bag is a unique, one off piece, with linens from the 1830’s to the 1940’s, some in perfect condition, others with hand stitched repairs and mends, telling the story of their history.  Each sack is printed with the farmer’s name or occasionally the location of the farm, or the date the sack was made.  Items proudly show the stains, distress and repairs from another generation.
