The Hemptress

Launched in January of 2010, Hemptress is a contemporary fashion handbag and accessory brand from Los Angeles, who’s bags are primarily made out of hemp. Many bags have “reborn” leather trim (repurposed from recycled leather) and all are luxuriously lined with a silk/hemp lining, with the exception of the vegan collection, which has a hemp/RPET lining. Even Hempress’ zippers are from recycled sources, with all produced in factories that adhere to fair trade practices. But they don’t stop there. Hemptress’ labels are made from hemp, their hang tags, business cards, and all collateral are printed on recycled paper with soy ink, and their shipping boxes are made from 100% post consumer waste.
