Kitty Ferreira

Kitty Ferreira is a sustainable brand made in London. Timeless, chic silhouettes are juxtaposed with light and airy fabrics. Chiffon, organza, georgette and crepe are dyed in spicy shades, and printed with pretty monochromatic patterns reminiscent of ghostly floral impressions. Silks are hand dyed with eco friendly dyes that include the likes of pomegranate and onionskins, and which account for the impressionistic prints.

The rich color story of saffron, cinnamon and rose, have an ethereal quality, diffused through sheer and semi sheer fabrications. Quiet understated designs have a sensual undertone. Timeless silhouettes with flattering cuts and subtle details are designed to easily translate from day to evening, and desk to drinks.

Working with upcycled fabrics, founder and designer Valerie Goode works predominately with British made fabrications, sourced in the UK. The collection is produced locally in limited numbers, to keep their carbon footprint low. The award-winning label was created by the London College of Fashion graduate to combat ethical fashions crunchy granola image. The collection is named after, and inspired by, her grandmother Kitty Ferreira, who grew all her own fruits and vegetables in the Caribbean. Goode founded her own label after witnessing the extreme pollution created through textile production while working in China. Goode likes to think that “fashion can tell a story not only based on style or an era, but based on values”.
