Atelier Courbet is a shop and gallery, situated at the fashionable intersection of SoHo and NoLita in New York. Dedicated to presenting exquisite objects, furniture, textiles, lighting, and home accessories, Atelier Courbet sources the finest workmanship from artisans and craftsmen from the world’s most revered workshops. The gallery store represents a portfolio of master craftsmen, some from establishments dating as far back as the 16th century.

Creating exclusive collaborations between masters, contemporary artisans, designers and visiting artists, the tightly curated selection encompasses one of a kind and limited edition pieces.

Set inside a landmark building, called the Brewster Carriage House, pieces are artfully displayed in two adjoining salons. Opened in 2013 by Melanie Courbet, an independent curator and consultant, Atelier Courbet is an outgrowth of her experience in curation for the MUBE Museum Sao Paulo, the New Museum New York, Le Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, to name a few. With ten years experience, Courbet has advised clients in the US, as well as France, collaborating with the French Ministry of Culture and Communications, as well as LVMH.
